Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need.
Help-Portrait is about GIVING the pictures, not taking them. These portraits aren’t for a portfolio, website, or sale. It’s about giving people who otherwise couldn’t afford photography, a chance to capture a moment, a memory…and a whole lot more.

We are pleased to be organising our first Help-Portrait event in the West Midlands, UK in 2017.
We are a group of photographers, amateur and professional, who want to reach out and give something back to those who could never afford a professional portrait shoot. We have two events planned in 2017.
July 4th - A local school with a high proportion of children from disadvantaged backgrounds where the families struggle with everyday living costs
December 2nd - Crisis centre for the homeless in Coventry
If you would like to be involved in either of these events please fill in the contact form and we will be in touch to discuss how you can contribute.
We are looking for volunteers to support a range of duties:
- Hair & Makeup
- Photo Editing/Printing
- General organisation and support

We are very grateful to Sharjah Media Center and the Xposure International Photography Festival for sponsoring our events. Their financial support has meant we can produce professional quality images remotely within 15mins - allowing us to provide clients with a complete end to end professional portrait service with hair/makeup and high quality prints at the event.
Crisis Skylight - Coventry & Warwickshire
Crisis Skylight Coventry and Warwickshire is an outreach service that works with homeless individuals and those at risk of homelessness.
Based in the city centre, they deliver their services throughout Coventry in various venues including those provided by partners. Crisis Skylight come into contact with over 600 people a year in Coventry.
