Is it really free?

It's a free 14-day trial to explore the Academy: modules, exams, certificates and core features. Downloads like Practice Packs, eBooks and 1-page field checklists are not included in the free trial.

What happens after 14 days?

After the 14 days, your modules and downloads pause until you upgrade. Full annual membership is £79/year — and if you upgrade within 7 days of your trial ending, the code SAVE20 is applied automatically at checkout to give you £20 off your first year (£59 total). Your progress, bookmarks, quiz scores and notes stay on your account either way, so you can pick up exactly where you left off.

How do I start the free trial?

I bought exams before — will my progress carry over?

Yes. If you previously used the legacy exams system, you can link your existing exam progress to your new Academy login using the on-screen Migration option (when prompted).

Where should I start?

Start with the essentials in this order: Exposure → Aperture → Shutter Speed → ISO, then move on to Focus and Composition. Each module is designed to build confidence quickly.

Can I download the lessons?

During the free trial you can read every module inside the Academy and earn downloadable certificates for the exams you pass. The full downloadable library — 30 Practice Pack PDFs, 35 one-page Field Checklists, the 741-page Academy eBook and the 22+ Applied Learning Library scenario guides — is included with full annual membership.

Do I need any specialist equipment?

No — any camera will work (including a phone). A tripod and spare battery can help for some assignments, but they're optional.
