  • Complete the tasks using your own camera and local shooting locations.
  • Review the “DO / DON’T” guidelines to improve your technique.
  • Use the reflection prompts to learn from each shoot.
 

Choosing the Right Assignment

There’s no required order — choose assignments based on what you want to strengthen:

  • Technical Foundations — exposure, focus, metering, ISO, tripods, filters.
  • Composition & Creative — minimalism, shadows, visual flow, lines, contrast.
  • Genre-Specific — landscape, portrait, architecture, macro, wildlife.

Each assignment page includes a downloadable PDF, practical tasks, creative variations, DO/DON’T guidance, and reflection prompts.

 

FAQs on Using the Practice Pack Assignments

Each assignment includes a learning objective, “before you shoot” checklist and downloadable PDF. Complete it at your own pace, then upload up to three images through your monthly Foundation Plus Dropbox link.

Your personal Dropbox upload link is emailed to you after joining Foundation Plus. Upload your images there at least 24 hours before your monthly review session.
