Get off Automatic Mode - Photography Class £30
This introductory 2.5 hour photography course is for beginners wishing to absorb new skills and techniques to improve their photography. You will learn about exposure and how to use and control Aperture, ISO and Shutter rather than relying on Automatic Mode.
All evening classes start at 18:45 and finish at 21:15
Please allow yourself 15mins for parking and being ready to start on time.
These classes run on a regular basis - A full list of dates available are shown in the booking (select option) dropdown.
Places x 12. - Typically 6-10 attendees
In order for a class to go ahead, there must be a minimum of six clients booked for that particular date. Should there be insufficient interest, alternative dates will be offered.

Cancellation less than 4wks prior to event date - no refund
No show on the event - loss of place/money
Rebooking fee applies for changing class date if less than 4 weeks before event date or for re-booking a missed class.
Alan will talk you through the essentials of photography and explain the concepts to help you develop your creative eye and improve camera operation too.
This is an excellent and in-depth introduction to digital photography and whatever level you are at you will walk away inspired and keen to start putting that new knowledge to good use.

You don't need a camera for this introductory class as it is lecture style format.

This introductory class is the perfect start. Most people continue onto the next four week Beginners Photo Course . You can enrol on the next scheduled four week course or return and enrol at some point in the future. Follow this with the Beginners Lightroom Course and you have the foundations to move onto the intermediate level and take a topic specific class on macro, landscape, portraits, architecture or whatever your interest is. This short course teaches the fundamental concepts of photography and how to precisely compose photographs. In practice, you will see an instant improvement in your work. Alan will help to speak in a non jargon way to help every person in the class understand the mechanics of camera settings and the why not just the how.
How you will learn
Alan is passionate about photography and a qualified photography tutor. He will engage you in discussion and be more than willing to answer as many questions as possible on the night.
You will be encouraged to ask questions and engage throughout the night so come prepared to ask any question you need an answer to.
You will be provided with a comprehensive class booklet to take away and use for future reference
You will be given three assignments to do on Aperture, ISO and Shutter Speed to do in your own time at home which will help cement the theory learnt in class.
