The photographic assignment for those on the monthly online mentoring programme this month was to capture the essence of winter or the festive period. The challenge as always is to come up with something original or improve on something done before. Sounds easy enough but is much harder than that as we are trying to move away from the obvious and that requires more thought, time, patience and skill execute well.
I was pleased with the many attempts, even if some didn't quite make the mark, the effort and originality was inspiring to see.
Here are a few of the shots that stood out for me from the students this month.
Next month's assignment is "still life" so am looking forward to some carefully crafted images.
