Staying Motivated with Photography
I love seeing people discover the art of photography and who are passionate about growing their knowledge and skills. What is disheartening however, is when these initial bursts of excitement and motivation die down.
As a teacher and photography practitioner, I live to capture the world in all of its marvellous splendours and find it all the more exciting when people of similar interests interact with my work.
We've all been there though. Taken up a new project, started it with full blown enthusiasm and dreamt an image of what we could achieve. Then slowly, we become less interested and less motivated until, we give up. Well with photography, there are so many ways you can avoid that!
You can't teach an old dog new tricks – Prove this theory wrong!
It’s never too late to sign up to a course, workshop or even sit down with a professional and absorb the knowledge they've gained over the years. The theory you could potentially learn from a book is completely overshadowed by the wisdom and knowledge of a tutor who has vast experiences in the photography world.
Trying to learn on your own can only get you so far. In an environment where an expert is spending their time helping you grow; that’s time much better spent than creating a portfolio of work that will never be reviewed at a time where it is most needed.
A number of my students take an intro course and then expect to be able to produce work that takes years to perfect; leaving them disheartened and unmotivated. I find this to be such a shame as photography is one of the world’s greatest forms of art and everyone should give themselves the opportunity to experience it fully.
Throughout the year, my courses run to suit a variety of interests in photography so anyone and everyone can partake in a course they're genuinely interested in. For those of you who have attended my 3hr intro course, I encourage you to take the next step. Join me in a beginner’s course that will ignite that photography passion once more!
The only one stopping you from growing is yourself
Making excuses for why we procrastinate or lose motivation is easy and it’s just as easy to stop your photography journey altogether. Again, let’s fire up that inner photographer and shoot our most memorable photos yet!
A lot of people claim that they can't afford courses and therefore have to struggle on their own. I’m a firm believer that everyone should have the same chance to develop their knowledge so I cater for all people with limited budgets.
By taking advantage of my Pick ‘n’ Mix service, you can spread the cost of your tuition plan over 12 months or 4 qtrs, with no interest! If paying upfront is more appealing to you, I'll cut 20% off the total price so anyone can enrol on my courses, workshops or photography support services.
I can even cater for those of you with busy daily commitments. If your career or family life means you have little time during the day, you don't need to give up your dream of becoming a professional photographer! My courses can be split into evening sessions so you too can expand your photographic know-how.
Let your creative vision explode and experiment with the endless possibilities of photography!
I can't express how important tuition and mentoring is when stepping into the world of photography. As a teacher and mentor, I find that nurturing talents and their endless determination to succeed has resulted in the 100% success rate of my students.
So don't hesitate any longer. The path to success is right in front of you, waiting for you to embark upon it.
