Description

Landscape Photography

A new addition to the tours and workshops, this area has some of the highest mountain ranges in the England and Wales.  The landscape is rugged but beautiful with high mountains, flowing rivers and large lakes.  

Based around Capel Curig in the National Park we will visit some hidden treasures, lakes, mountains, quarries and iconic vistas.



Itinerary

Likely locations include:

(A detailed itinerary will be provided 5-7 days ahead of workshop that will take into account weather/tide times (if applicable) and any other local seasonal factors.)

  • Fairy Glen - Betws-y-Coed

  • River Eden, Pistyll Cain and Rhaeadr Mawddach waterfalls

  • Llynnau Mymbyr - Snowdon View

  • Capel Curig Pinnacles

  • Afon Llugwy

  • Llyn Craftnant

  • Rhiw Fachno & Rhiw Bach Slate Quarries

Day 1

  • Travel from Coventry rendezvous point at specified time or

  • Meet on location at specified time

  • Workshop introduction and briefing

  • Location shoot

  • Lunch Break

  • Location shoot

  • Check-in Hotel/B&B

  • Optional sunset shoot - depending on light/time of year/forecast

  • Evening meal - optional picture reviews

Day 2

  • Possible sunrise shoot - depending on light/time of year/forecast

  • Breakfast

  • Meet on location at specified time

  • Workshop briefing

Fitness level Required - Moderate

This trip is rated as moderate, meaning that a reasonable level of fitness is required to walk for 20-30min stints without issue. There will be a mixture of terrains under foot so stability on your feet is neccessary.

Experience Level - Beginner to Intermediate

  • The workshop is suitable for any level, including beginners.

  • All participants receive 1-2-1 tuition and support on practical workshops so that tutoring can be tailored to the individuals needs and experience.

  • No prior knowledge of photography is required as each student will be taught individually, according to their level.
