Size:  16x11" (A3) Fine Art Print on Premium Hahnemühle

Paper - Bamboo 290gsm

Bamboo is the world’s first digital fine art inkjet paper made from bamboo fibres. Bamboo represents spirituality, naturalness and resource-saving paper production. It’s particularly suitable for warm-toned colour and monochrome prints; Bamboo really highlights the sensuality of images.

First come first serve as one-off editions.

Rock Formation 40

October's selected image was taken at Spittal Beach, Northumbria.

As ever, timing is everything and the calculation of low tide and light/weather forecast rewarded us with some great opportunities for my favourite formation location, found to date.   These sandstone rock formations have been in my top ten locations for close-up work for some time but invariably the weather and timing makes it difficult to predict.  Much of the sandstone is still under sand after a previous squall tide, but there are still plenty of good aspects to find if you are patient, in the right frame of mind and persistent in executing everything you want.

This particular section of rock was taken with a tilt-shift lens (24mm) and took a few frames to get perspective, angles and everything in position.

ISO 100, Focal Length 24mm TS, F13, 1/6, tripod, custom white balance.
